Ok..seriously what kinda movies do ppl like these days!!
There was a loser who rated 5 stars for DevD?? And quite surprisingly it was a critic for TOI..I mean have they become so perverted!! Come on!! If ur so desperate watch something “else” losers..
And apparently these are the same ppl who ALSO said Delhi6 was the worst movie ever..
Well they probably were too dumb to get the movie..
When i heard the reviews from ppl i know i was really surprised about the fact that ROMP would come up with a “WORST” movie.
BUt nevertheless i believed ppl this time..I lost the interest to go to the theatre to watch it and maybe now i’m wishing i had been to the movies.
Its a movie with unmatched class in the genre of subtlety..Its not that gr8 an entertainer either but if ur really for some “ok-this-seems-to-be-boring-but-infact-has-a-grip” kinda movie u have to watch Delhi6..
The director has taken the element of subtlety to a whole new level..The serious and disturbing part of Indian society are shown in a very light and humorous way yet it does have its intended effect..And the serious part of the movie is taken seriously only in the 2nd half..
I read the graphic novel “watchmen” two days ago and i found a striking similarity to the ending of Delhi6 too..
Four words: “For the Greater Good”
The movie has AB Jr in a pretty simple role..And his role should be a stereotype of the new generation cool dudes..Quite sadly it isnt..
Questioning things but actually trying to find the answer,is what is required instead of blaming and criticising ppl for their old ways, old practices..
The movie is an eye opener for ppl who think India as being a sad country(IF they want their eyes to be opened)..The reason they give when asked why they moved out of India is not cuz they hate the things here, but its cuz they are probably scared to do anything about it.
Its a sad thing that, in India when once upon a time Hindus and Muslims indeed coexisted in harmony as neighbours, sharing and celebrating each other’s festivals has now turned into blood battles and feuds for the most trivial reasons..
The main underlying thought of the movie which’s what ROMP probably wanted to present is that:
“No matter how hard we try to prove amongst ourselves that we are the stronger ones, there will be atleast a few forces or entities that will scare the hell out of us and eventually make us team up with each other for the greater good..Call it Ram..or Allah..or Destiny..Its all the same..”
And the world probably needs such a thing to happen to put an end to all the “RED” shades in the country..
P.S- 4/5 Stars..Rakeysh OM Prakash Mehra has “Actually” done it again..DO watch it if u haven’t..But with NO expectations.
